Both cities have domestic airports receiving flights from Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires (Argentina) respectively. • International flights from North America and Europe will most likely arrive / depart Santiago or Buenos Aires in the early morning or late evening. The safest and most comfortable connection is a morning flight to Punta Arenas the day after arriving in Chile, and evening departure to your home country leaving the day after your return flight from Punta Arenas. OVERLAND TRANSPORT. Punta Arenas Aiport - Puerto Natales 3hr - 248km/ 154 mi. Puerto Natales - EcoCamp Patagonia. 2hr 34min - 150km/ 93mi. • In Torres del Paine and throughout Patagonia, transport is in minivans that normally seat between 8 and 14 people, with luggage stored in a pull-cart. None of these vehicles have onboard toilets. • We strongly ask our guests to book our regular daily shuttles to and from Punta Arenas / Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine / EcoCamp, so as to minimize theuse of vehicles and fuel on these long journeys. |
TRANSFER FROM PUNTA ARENAS (AIRPORT & HOTELS) TO ECOCAMP (STOPPING IN PUERTO NATALES)
EcoCamp was opened in 2001 by Javier, Yerko and Nani - The region's first fully sustainable accommodation south of the Amazon and the world's first geodesic hotel room.
The team at EcoCamp is an energetic mix of guides, cooks, assistants, maintenance staff, drivers, housekeepers and administrators, mainly from the neighbouring town of Puerto Natales (180km) or Punta Arenas (330km). Their hardworking and positive attitude ensures service levels for both guests and the environment are of the highest quality. Our superstar guides are mainly locals who have grown up breathing fresh Patagonian air. They are all fun-loving, environmentally-conscious trekking enthusiasts who love their job and can be counted on for knowledge, reliability and entertainment. |
